ANDŽELIKA

meet the artist

Andželika is an independent artist living in the historic town of Biržai, northern part of Lithuania. Her major interest is abstract painting on canvas by creating unique textures. She enjoys the style of painting using tools such as palette knives and paint scrapers. Combining this with a passion that allows her to build unique layers of texture and contrast into each of her pieces.  It may be a complete dedication to the freedom of paint, forms, and colours, as well this may be a more material form of the image.

She discovers her ideas and inspiration in the whole world that surrounds her. Her paintings also reflect unique experiences and feelings. Abstract painting seems so rich and so sensitive to her. It is an art that is not only visible but also felt. Even the same person will always see or imagine, in abstraction, other things that are not always visible – emotions, spiritual experience, even sounds that were once heard. As an artist, Andzelika longs for the creative process to never end, so she seems to convey the creative process to the viewer, whose imagination plays with the painting and thus allows the creation to continue in another dimension.
